The South African Guild of Mobility Journalists name the finalists for COTY 2022.
The title of South African Car of the Year has always been coveted by local car manufacturers and importers. Keeping with tradition, the South African Guild of Mobility Journalists have announced their 25 finalists for the 2022 South African Car of the Year (COTY) competition.
Carl Wepener, Chairman of the SAGMJ announced the finalists stating that This years COTY finalists show us the tremendous speed of research and development in the automotive industry. The finalists represent the best of the best in South Africa, and we are eager to see who the winners of this years competition will be.
The COTY competition consists of an overall winner and the winner in each of the following categories:

With the finalists announced, each model will undergo scoring at the hands of some of South Africas most respected Motoring Journalists before the winners are announced in May.
